Red Bull Back to School

Things have been a whirlwind here, I have been running around campus photographing various things that red bull is doing with their brand on campus. Because of school starting up, Red Bull has been doing a lot of back to school things such as hacks and little mini events here and there. It's been a lot of late nights and early mornings but I love all of it. Hanging out with corey and sarah (student brand managers) is always fun. =) Here are some summarizing images of what I've been doing the past couple of weeks.

Going around different fraternities and sororities and stocking their fridges

Cross Wings!

A Wiings Team blitz!

Look at all those mini coopers!

Party party!

Some booster seats. A little good morning present.

Taking NYC by storm

Last week I was in NYC! YEAH! That's right! I was there with my DJ friends DJ Rick Rock and DJ Jeopardy. Together they make Disco Disco. They invited me out to document a party they were DJ-ing. It so happened that it was my birthday that weekend, so I got to spend my birthday in NYC! What a fun/crazy trip. Anyways, I didn't want to lug my heavy slr around all day in NYC so I just used it for the shoot. Anyways, here are some of the images from the party!

Some highlights of that weekend includes:

Celebrating my birthday in NYC with some really cool people

Hanging out with kanyon, wendy, and wei.

Junior's cheesecake

Uniqlo

K-town

Karaoke-ing in the room next to Common and the Williams sisters, then getting a picture with Common =) on my birthday

Hanging out on a rooftop in NYC

Being locked out of the apt at 2am in the morning

driving back 10 hours after 4 hours of sleep (it was epic)

Overall quite an amazing trip.

Vienny + David: Married

Vienny and David were married twice in one day! They had a traditional Vietnamese ceremony in the morning and a traditional American one in the afternoon. Both were beautiful and full of happiness and emotion! The Vietnamese ceremony was held at Vienny's home where they honored their elders and parents. And the American ceremony was held just outside of Thompson Library on OSU campus right in front of the oval. Gordon Gee made a surprise visit! It was truly a wonderful wedding.

The vietnamese ceremony is very similar to the taiwanese one. They serve tea to their elders and get hong bao (red pouches)

Some casual portraits outside Viennys parent's house

Got to have the serious asian family portrait.

Beautiful and Executive.

I'd say I caught their true faces for each other. Quite cute.

You think she is whispering sweet nothings into his ear, but she is actually giving him a kiss on the cheek. =)

It was quite warm outside so we stuck inside Thompson library. This is in the grand reading room!

I always like trying new things and experimenting, so I asked them to dance downstairs while I ran upstairs to grab this shot. I really love this.

We then moved outside for some outdoor portraits

I love it when couples give me more time to take portraits, because then I can give them more! Vienny and David gave me 2 hours! That gave me plenty of time to get creative and try new and different things.

President Gordon Gee made a surprise visit!

Praying before the ceremony

Instead of having chairs prepared, the couple decided to ask the attendees to bring their own chairs which I thought was very cool and it made the ceremony semi-casual.

Instead of candles the couple decided to do a water ceremony because the candles would blow out in the wind.

You might ask how did I get two photographs of the kiss? Well that is a good question. I prefocused my wide photograph and then when the time came, I just held them both up and shot! ingenious I know. I'm awesome =) psh.

Vienny and David had their reception at Sunflower where they had a 10 course meal!

Vienny and David had their cake made by Sugardaddy's which has been featured on food network. It was delicious!

It was a brownie cake which was very hard to cut. Look at that determination!

First dance!

Hang on sloopy hang on!

Some line dancing!

Love these images of the tosses.

Last dance of the night before they head off!

Thank you Vienny and David for letting me be apart of your special day. I had so much fun making photographs throughout the day. You guys are awesome!

Tiara + Miguel: Married

Tiara and Miguel were married on a beautiful Friday evening. Their beautiful ceremony was held at Tall Timbers just outside Columbus. The day was full of surprises and little moments.

I joined the ladies in the morning as they got ready and to my surprise, it was Tiara who was doing hair, she said it was fun!

Beautiful shoes

Beautiful rings

Miguel looks good

I thought it would be awesome to show the wedding dress where the ceremony was held

Look at the center pieces! I thought they were real inventive and creative!

The flower girl was so cute

Even more cute! The ring boy was so hyper and running around everywhere

until it came time to walk down the aisle. Haha.

As a surprise to the couple the parents released monarch butterflies into the air!

Love this photograph because they are imitating each other. Hah

The sun went down quick right after the ceremony so making photographs was a bit difficult, but Tiara and Miguel braved the mosquitos and night to pose for some awesome photographs.

Awesome!

First dance

Thanks you Tiara and Miguel for letting me take part in your special day. I had an amazing time documenting and meeting your family.

Thank you sooo soo much Kevan for designing my front page. This has now made my website more accessible. My commercial site was not known because it was hidden in my website so I asked Kevan to design a frontpage where it would display links to all parts of my website. So make sure to check it out! www.victorhuangphotography.com. He did an awesome job!
