The 24
Last week, I turned twenty - four! It was a pretty normal day. But at night, my good friend josh and my new friends surprised me with a cake. It was a good time. I'm so blessed and thankful for them.
Also, my girlfriend sent me a wonderful letter. Thanks baby. you are so amazing.

Moved
It's been four weeks since I have moved and things are starting to settle down. Routines are being set up. Being in seminary is different. Instead of doing projects and being in studio, I'm reading all day long. Instead of being in the dark lab or in the photo lab, i'm in the library reading.
Fort Worth is great. I've been making so many new friends. It's great. I'm really satisfied with everything. God is good.
There has been huge changes in my life. Not only am I in seminary, living in a different place, hanging out with different people, but now I'm in a relationship! I cannot begin to describe the joy that I am experiencing right now. I will say though, everyone who says long distance is difficult...is correct. It's hard! Not physically being there to comfort and enjoy her presence really makes things frustrating sometimes. I get restless
But I'm really happy and satisfied with everything that is happening. I feel like i'm in a right place.
Changes
It's been awhile since I have done a personal post so bear with me.
I have been blessed to have been able to travel all around the country these past couple of months, some for work and some for leisure. It's been great making new friends in all these different places. I'm so happy to have met you all.
This monday, I am moving to Dallas Fort Worth, Texas to start a new chapter in my life. I'm going to be attending the School of Music at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. It is a two year masters program. I'm going to be majoring in Vocal Performance because singing is something that has always been in my life. I have never been trained in it, and I desire to get some formal training.
It didn't really hit me until this week that I was leaving since I'm packing and trying to sort out everything. I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I'm really excited to go to Seminary, to make new friends and to learn about music and theology. On the other hand, I'm a bit sad because I was actually taking a liking to Columbus, especially after graduating college. The people here and my church community are amazing and I feel as if I'm leaving my family. Just today at church, I was reminiscing with a good friend of mine John about the first day I came to 4C and how things were much more simple back then. Good times.
I know seminary is where God wants me and what God has called me to at this moment, so that is where I'm going!
With this massive change, I decided that the website needs a change also. So with the help of my good friend Kevan, I have a new look! It's totally different from the original and I'm still trying to sort things out and make it look like I want it to. It's updated with new photographs and new videos of my work.
In terms of photography, all of it is kind of up in the air. Since I'm moving, I kind of lose my "networks". If people want to fly me out to do their weddings, I'd be more than willing to do so. I don't know how much wedding photography I will be doing but I'm not worried. I know I'm called to use my creativity in some form or another. Things might start shifting to more personal work or I might be doing different projects. Who knows!? I still have 4 wedding highlights to post so keep an eye out for them.
I hate saying good bye...and I'm terrible at them, but to all my friends in Columbus, farewell? You all have played an important part in shaping who I am as a person. I'm very grateful for you all letting me be a part of your lives.

Vancouver // vaca
After the VA Wedding, I flew over to Vancouver to go hang with my family! Right as I got in, my grandma took us to Dim Sum which is like a chinese version of tapas..
I have been eating so much the last couple of days!
Spent some time with family and with some friends! Good to see everyone! Also I have been reading Game of Thrones since I'm tired of waiting for the next episode on HBO. I cannot put the book down! It's so good!
Fear not, I have been also doing some editing/work so I don't get behind.
So this vacation has a been a combination of eating/working/sleeping/reading/relaxing/eating
I took some quick simple portraits of my grandma/mother yesterday and I wanted to share them with you all.
It was an overcast day and it had just rained also. Tip for you guys, the best soft portraits come from overcast days. The reason why is that it is just like a giant softbox. It makes for even lighting.

I honestly don't like shooting wide open because it is so hard to get photographs tack sharp. People move, you move and in the end you miss moments because you are refocusing.

Kina Grannis
She's sooo good! Went to Cleveland last week to attend a Kina Grannis show with some buddies. She's amazing live! The show was small but it didn't really matter because her voice is soo good. Got to meet her after the show at the meet and greet! I hugged her =)
