Today, I realized that I left my battery charger and battery at the Tribute in Texas. This is very bad because that means, I have to spend money replacing it. This is the first time I have lost equipment on a shoot, so it's really significant for me. It's something that I have to accept. There are a ton of things I have to worry about with my equipment. There are at least a hundred different little/big things I have to keep accountable for, so I'm going to lose stuff. It's inevitable. I just have to be more careful =/ *BIG SIGH*
Luckily my 5d mark II has a AA battery holder so I can still shoot, but this is still bad. Anyways, I haven't written a blog post in awhile, sorry for making this one such a downer.
I got a new camera bag! And it's awesome! It is the Think Tank Airport Security and it has wheels! This is perfect for me because I can keep it with me when I fly! It fits the standards and it acts as my carry on!
Anyways, I thought I would do my first video! And show how I pack it and what my gear is! Enjoy. Sorry for the annoying whine in the background...don't know what it is.
I thought it was time to go mobile with my editing so I got a new laptop. This will enable me to travel and edit as opposed to having to come home to edit. Yay, in other news, my email got hacked and my itunes also got hacked. =( some person spent 40 dollars worth of crap music on my account and now I have to pay for it. Sigh, I'm over it, but it's sad what people in this world do.
Hey guys, I haven't really shot anything this week, so I thought I would share with you what Albums I order from.
For Albums, I go through this awesome company called KISS Wedding Books. They make great wedding albums and books. Their books have a lay flat binding, not a cut. So that means that they have legit full spreads.
They come in 4 sizes: 4x4, 8x8, 10x10, and 12x12.
The colors that these KISS books come in are very...hotttt haha:
- Virgin White
- Sultry Blue
- Forbidden Green
- Smouldering Brown
- Passion Pink
- Voluptuous Black
- Redlight Red
They are made with Fuji Crystal Archival paper so your prints will not fade with age.
There are two types of album. Linen or Leather. The Leather KISSes have a hard substrate between each page. The Linen KISSes are 2 prints glued back to back, making them thinner (and less expensive to produce).
Ok, happy finals everyone! I don't know if I will post next week because I will be studying a lot. I will be heading to LA for spring break, so I will have some awesome images from there!
I had an opportunity to photograph my friend's new shoes! He was so ecstatic about them. These are the new Jordan Space Jams by Nike
Here is my set up shots. Ideally I would have two flashes blowing out the background so I can get a nice even white. I would also move the product away from the background so that I can independently control lighting on the shoes. But when you live in a small apartment...you make do..haha! My table makes a product table because it's white and slightly reflective. I used a black board as a flag so that the flash wouldn't affect the product
OK so here are the shots.
