Early Merry Christmas

This break has been pretty busy in terms of work. Right after finals were over, life/work decided to dump everything on my plate. So far, this has been break for me:

shoot video, edit video, worship practice, meet with clients, shoot photographs, edit photographs, shoot videos, edit videos, meet with clients, worship practice, sprinkle hangout times, sprinkle in not much sleep.

As much as it is draining, I am grateful, thankful, and blessed to be doing things I love.

But, I need to really get some R&R in, so I am going on vacation for a week! I most likely have to do some work while I'm there, but I plan on sitting by the pool, read some books that have been sitting on the shelf collecting dust, and eating a lot of food!

This Christmas, I am not going to my parents since I have to prep for retreat. So this will be the first Christmas I spend alone away from family. It will be alright, because I need some time to myself to reflect on everything that has happened this year.

And to keep me busy, I bought myself some early Christmas presents. Yay! In addition to being a photographer, I am also a musician, so I bought myself a Akai MPK25 which is a synth machine. This enables me to produce and make music, so I'm excited to see where that leads! Also, I bought something for the business. A new lens! Yay! I haven't bought a new lens in a couple of years. It was time to update/upgrade. My clients deserve the best quality images and this new lens will help me do that.
