Oxford Study Program UK Day 6

Today, we woke up at the crack of dawn to drive to…Scotland!!! It was a long bus drive. I slept the majority of the way there because I was exhausted from the week of traveling and exploring. Here is the time-lapse from the top of St Paul’s Cathedral

We stopped in Grasmere, which is where Dove Cottage is. This is the home of the poet William Wordsworth. Although it was a little bit rainy, the lake and scenery were very beautiful. Here is a time-lapse of the lake.

After more driving, we ended up in Edinburgh, Scotland. The place we are staying at is at right next to Arthur’s Seat, which is this mountain that when you climb to the top, you can see the whole city. After dinner, we went to the foot of it and Dr. Travers gave a sermon on Evangelism. 2014-07-14_0001.jpg We then were dismissed for free time. I decided to climb Arthur’s Seat with some people and we set off. It wasn’t too difficult of a climb. Every point we came to was beautiful. When we finally got to the top…my breath was taken away, not by the hike, but by the view. I could see 360 degrees around. It was windy up there, but the sun was shining and you could see for hundreds of miles. I stayed to watch the sunset and it was so beautiful. I plan on going everyday we are here to go watch the sunset.
